Description

Features

  • Dual-cure photo emulsion for any kind of ink.
  • High definition for screens up to 150 T/cm mesh.
  • Very good resistance to plastisol inks, water based inks, solvent and UV based graphic ink systems, Also for discharge printing.
  • Excellent stability on the screen.
  • Suitable to work with any kind of light source.
  • Easy reclaiming of the screen.
  • Easy to use.

Additives

Screen Chem Catalyst – This is an optional product that will make the exposed screen permanent. Useful for screens that you want to store and use often, or for long print runs where you want additional confidence in the stencil.

PREPARATION

Add a small amount of water to diazo-sensitiser and shake well. Next, mix the whole dose with SCREEN-SOL QT, stir well and then let it settle for approximately 2 hours to eliminate air bubbles. Since it is a polymer emulsion we recommend you work in an area with low to little light, not under a direct light or in sunlight.

APPLICATION

We recommend you degrease the mesh. As a general indication, we suggest you apply 1 or 2 coats of emulsion on the external face of the screen and 1 or 2 coats on the internal face, wet on wet.

DRYING

We advise that you dry the screen horizontally in a ventilated drying cabinet, at 30-40°C for 40-60 minutes depending on the coating thickness.

EXPOSURE

Lamp type, distance from lamp to screen, mesh type and coating thickness can affect exposure time. To determine the correct exposure time we suggest you conduct some tests with an exposure calculator. Our suggestion: Lighting halogen: 5000W Application: 1-2 internal coats, 1-2 external coats Mesh 120T white 60 sec.

POT-LIFE

If stored in it’s original container at a temperature between 15 and 25°C this product will preserve it’s characteristics for at least 1 year from the date of production. Once mixed with the diazo sensitiser, it will last up to 8 weeks if stored correctly – we recommend storing in a dark area our direct sunlight and away from extreme temperatures.

RECLAIM

Please use Easiway 500 TO remove this emulsion or easiway supra for use with a dip tank.

This is really excellent emulsion, we don’t use anything else. Normally coat 2 (outside)+1 (inside) using thin edge of scoop coater, probably get about 30+ screens done per 1 kg pot. Shelf life used to be given as 6 weeks after mixing with sensitizer. Not sure if that’s still the case, but we’ve used emulsion up to 12 weeks after mixing with no problems. Easy reclaim too!

  2. Aimee Hibberd

Best emulsion we’ve ever had. Tried several different brands and nothing else compares. Lasts ages, coats easily and is easy to reclaim even if it’s sat on the screen for weeks.

  3. Gary Jackson

Great value on the emulsion and quick delivery and flawless transaction. Love the Amex products

  4. Chessie Rosier-Parker

I am starting to use this as my studio staple emulsion. I have done many long runs without any trouble and it is holding up to a big range of inks I am throwing at it. It also reclaims easily with the Eco and Franmar cleaning products
